Jenn Tran<\/strong><\/a> was \u201cdisappointed\u201d to hear Maria Georgas<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 \u201cnarrative\u201d of how casting for season 21 of The Bachelorette<\/em> went down. The show\u2019s new lead was away filming when her Bachelor<\/em> costar claimed to have been the original person chosen as the Bachelorette, and Jenn is now setting the record straight on what really happened.<\/p>\n \u201cThe truth of the matter is, there\u2019s a lot of narratives out there and they\u2019re not necessarily the truth,\u201d Jenn, 26, said on the Wednesday, June 26, episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy<\/a>\u201d podcast. \u201cThis show has been going on for years and years \u2013 21 years of this show specifically \u2013 and every season there are multiple people in contention for the role. Multiple people are doing interviews or doing fittings or filming intro packages. And it\u2019s never really you until it\u2019s you. That\u2019s why I was a little disappointed. The narratives out there aren\u2019t exactly true.\u201d<\/p>\n She reiterated that there\u2019s \u201calways multiple people\u201d considered for the lead role every season and confirmed that her casting was not a \u201clast minute decision.\u201d In fact, Jenn said she was in talks<\/a> with producers for \u201cmonths\u201d before she got the call.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was disappointing to come back from this incredible journey for myself and see all this speculation around it and have all these things take away from what my journey was,\u201d the physician assistant student admitted.<\/p>\n In May, Maria, 29, also appeared on \u201cCall Her Daddy,\u201d which is when she claimed to have accepted<\/a> the Bachelorette role and had started doing fittings before dropping out. \u201cIt was set in stone<\/a>. I was it,\u201d Maria shared. \u201c[But] when everyone around me was so supportive of me being in this position and everyone wanted this for me, I took a second. I\u2019m like, \u2018Why am I not happy? Why am I not excited about this?\u2019 It took me realizing that it\u2019s just not my time [and] I was like, \u2018Respectfully, I need to decline. I need to take a step back.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Daisy Kent<\/strong>, who appeared on season 28 of The Bachelor<\/em> with both Jenn and Maria, also previously confirmed that she was in contention for the gig. However, she said she decided to pass on becoming the Bachelorette for a number of reasons, including the toll long hours of filming and traveling would take on her physical health.<\/p>\n
