Emma Roberts<\/strong><\/a> is aware of the downsides to stardom, especially after seeing how much attention her aunt Julia Roberts<\/strong><\/a> received as a Hollywood A-lister.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw very up close what that really looks like with my aunt Julia,\u201d Emma, 33, responded when asked by Bruce Bozzi<\/strong> whether becoming a \u201cmassive movie star\u201d was ever her goal as an actress. \u201cIt\u2019s fun and it\u2019s great, but there is a part of it that\u2019s really scary.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emma explained on the Tuesday, June 25, episode of the \u201cTable for Two<\/a>\u201d podcast that she \u201calways wanted to kind of carve my own path.\u201d<\/p>\n

She noted that through Julia\u2019s superstardom, she learned early on that fame isn\u2019t always a good thing. \u201cFame has never been the goal, because fame at a certain level is kind of scary,\u201d Emma added.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSeveral celebrity children have inherited their famous parents\u2019 acting genes. Busy Philipps\u2019 eldest daughter, Birdie, appeared alongside the actress in two episodes of Cougar Town and on the Prime Video series With Love. Philipps shares daughters Birdie and cricket with ex-husband Marc Silverstein. Much like Birdie, Milla Jovovich\u2019s eldest daughter, Ever, began her acting career [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Julia, 56, made her big screen debut in 1988\u2019s Satisfaction<\/em><\/a>, which she followed up with Mystic Pizza <\/em>that same year. She was nominated for her first Oscar in 1990 for her role in Steel Magnolias<\/em>. A decade later, Julia won the 2001 Academy Award for best actress in a leading role for Erin Brockovich<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Julia has remained a box-office success in the decades that have followed. However, acting has never been the only thing that drives her.<\/p>\n

\u201cActing is my dream come true, but it is not my only dream come true,\u201d Julia told CBS News Sunday Morning<\/em><\/a> in October 2022. \u201cThe life that I\u2019ve built with my husband [Danny Moder<\/strong> and] the life that we\u2019ve built with our children [Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry]. That\u2019s the best stuff, to come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emma has had a similar approach to her career, which began in the early 2000s. The actress started out as a TV star thanks to Nickelodeon\u2019s Unfabulous<\/em><\/a>. She has since starred on Scream Queens<\/em> and American Horror Story<\/em> in addition to movie projects like 2024\u2019s Madame Web<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven in my later teens, I was like, I never want my fame to outweigh my work,\u201d Emma shared on Tuesday. \u201cBecause there\u2019s nothing scarier to me than being so famous that you\u2019re never left alone, but also you\u2019re not getting good jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Like her aunt, Emma has had to navigate being a mother and an actress after welcoming her son<\/a>, Rhodes, in December 2020. (Emma shares her toddler with ex Garrett Hedlund<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m loving it. I feel so lucky. I just got to finish work on a show, I get to go see my 3-year-old tomorrow,\u201d Emma gushed to Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> in January after wrapping season 12 of American Horror Story<\/em>. \u201cLife is good. I\u2019m very grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Emma comes from a line of actors \u2014 her father, Eric Roberts<\/strong><\/a>, is also in the industry \u2014 she revealed on Tuesday that being a nepo baby<\/a> isn\u2019t always a positive.<\/p>\n
