Kandi Burruss<\/strong><\/a> has left The Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/i> in the rearview mirror \u2014 and a few extra pounds, too.<\/span><\/p>\n

Burruss, 48, announced her exit<\/a> from RHOA <\/i>after 14 seasons in February, and she exclusively told Us Weekly<\/i> it\u2019s been good for both her mind and body.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve lost 10 pounds,\u201d Burruss \u2014 who spoke to Us<\/i> in connection with her partnership with Hydroxycut<\/a> \u2014 said. \u201cI\u2019ve had really great energy, which has come in handy because I\u2019m rehearsing a lot lately and it\u2019s been helping me curb my appetite. Like, no desserts. I haven\u2019t even craved them how I normally do. I\u2019ve cut back on all the junk food that I was eating.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Burruss and her musical girl group XSCAPE<\/strong> are gearing up to hit the road for a 30-date summer tour with SWV<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The reality star admitted she had \u201creally gained a lot of weight in the past year,\u201d which coincided with her big career decision.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was living my best life. I stopped doing Housewives<\/i>, so I was like, \u2018I can eat good, I can relax, I can travel,\u2019\u201d Burruss said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After gaining roughly 20 pounds, Burruss admitted it was a comment on her husband Todd Tucker<\/strong>\u2019s Instagram that made her realize she needed to make a change.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI saw in my husband\u2019s comments somebody said, \u2018Ooh, Kandi\u2019s gaining weight,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cI was like, OK, gotta make a change. We gotta stop this right now!\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Now that she\u2019s found the motivation, Burruss wants to see how much further she can go.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to see what it would look like if I could lose 30 pounds. I would love that. I haven\u2019t been in my 130s since I was 30. It would be a dream for me to get down to 130-something. I just want to see it. Just one time,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To help her lose weight, Burruss has partnered with the new Hydroxycut<\/span> family of products, including Pro-Clinical Glucose Support and Berberine-DHB, available to the public later this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the topic of Housewives<\/i><\/a>, Burruss said she hasn\u2019t experienced any regret about leaving the legendary reality franchise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou wonder if you\u2019re going to second guess yourself or the decision that you made,\u201d she acknowledged. \u201cBecause that\u2019s a major decision, to be a part of something for 14 seasons and then say, \u2018Yeah, I\u2019m going to walk away.\u2019 That was a hard decision to make. But now that I\u2019ve moved on, I\u2019m feeling great about my choice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Burruss did get some advice about what might lie ahead from somebody who has been in her shoes<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
