At the time, the company said it wasn\u2019t limiting political content from reaching people on Instagram but instead simply giving users the ability to stop seeing posts that don\u2019t interest them. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">\u201cOur goal is to preserve the ability for people to choose to interact with political content, while respecting each person\u2019s appetite for it,\u201c Instagram head Adam Mosseri said in a Threads post announcing the change. Under a user\u2019s profile menu for content preferences, there\u2019s an option for political content, where they can turn the limit off and confirm that choice.
