What it all comes down to is <\/span>Alanis Morissette<\/a>‘s daughter celebrated her eighth birthday in epic fashion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n During the iconic singer’s concert in Nashville on Sunday, Morissette brought up her daughter, Onyx, to serenade her with “Happy Birthday” — but that wasn’t all. She and the hip hop star tied the knot in 2010.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While Morissette has been both a musician and mom for more than a decade now, back in July 2020 —\u00a0less than a year after welcoming her third child and before dropping her ninth album, <\/span>Such Pretty Forks in the Road<\/span><\/em>\u00a0— she\u00a0<\/span>shared with ET how she<\/a>\u00a0was tackling\u00a0the added chaos<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Before children, before marriage, I would be doing a vocal, and if there was\u00a0anything in my peripheral vision, I’d\u00a0freak out and say, ‘I can’t focus,'” she recalled. “Now I’m doing vocals and my daughter’s\u00a0on top of my head.\u00a0I’m\u00a0breastfeeding. There are\u00a0doors opening and closing. ‘Where’s the puppy,’ you know? I’m doing vocals and writing and trying to eat soup… so, multitasking has been taken to a whole new level.”<\/span><\/p>\n “Thankfully, I can still write and I can still do vocals,” she added.\u00a0“It’s just 50 more interruptions a day.
