Billy Ray Cyrus<\/strong><\/a> is accusing estranged wife Firerose<\/strong><\/a> of abuse in a new round of court documents, filed on Monday, June 24, Us Weekly<\/em> can confirm.<\/p>\n

Cyrus, 62, \u201cvehemently\u201d denied Firerose\u2019s prior abuse allegations<\/a>, alleging that he was \u201cnot only verbally and emotionally\u201d abused by his ex, but physically as well. In the docs, Cyrus admitted to being \u201cvocal, frustrated and angry\u201d with Firerose, but demanded \u201cstrict proof\u201d of her abuse allegations.<\/p>\n

Firerose filed a complaint in a Tennessee court on June 14, alleging that Cyrus was \u201cunpredictable and volatile\u201d during their seven-month marriage. \u201cWife was the victim of extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse,\u201d her attorney wrote at the time. Cyrus denied the accusations in a statement to Us Weekly<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Cyrus\u2019 court documents from Monday claimed that the accusations were \u201cmind boggling.\u201d (Cyrus\u2019 rep had no comment at this time.)<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> confirmed on June 11 that Cyrus was looking for an annulment to end his marriage<\/a> to Firerose only seven months after they tied the knot in October 2023. The country singer cited irreconcilable differences and \u201cinappropriate marital conduct\u201d as the reason for their split. The initial court docs revealed that Cyrus and Firerose separated on May 22, 2024, and he reportedly gave her two days to move<\/a> out of their shared home.<\/p>\n

Following news of their breakup, a source told Us<\/em> that Cyrus and Firerose \u201cwere always fighting,\u201d calling their relationship \u201cintense and toxic at times.\u201d The insider added: \u201cBilly accused Firerose of cheating<\/a> and it was the final straw for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their breakup has gotten messy in court as the estranged pair attempts to end their relationship. Ahead of Firerose\u2019s abuse accusations, Cyrus sought a temporary restraining order<\/a> against his ex. In court documents obtained by Us<\/em> on June 17, Cyrus alleged that Firerose had made \u201c37 unauthorized charges\u201d on his credit card.<\/p>\n
