Bryan Craig<\/strong> is returning to General Hospital<\/em><\/a> nearly eight years after his character\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

Craig, 32, is set to reprise his role as Morgan Corinthos on the long-running soap opera as a guest star for one episode this summer, a source confirmed to Us Weekly<\/em> on Monday, June 24.<\/p>\n

Fans of General Hospital<\/em> were quick to share their excitement about Craig returning to the small screen, with one X user<\/a> writing, \u201cWelcome Home Bryan!! I just read the news!! So excited!\u201d while another wrote<\/a>, \u201cI was hoping for a full return, but it would be good to see him!\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Craig\u2019s return, some fans were disappointed about his soon-to-be brief stint on the series.<\/p>\n

Craig previously teased his return earlier this month after General Hospital<\/em> executive producer Frank Valentini<\/strong> told ABC7<\/a> at the 51st Daytime Emmy Awards that a \u201cformer cast member is coming back\u201d and that the \u201caudience will go crazy for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

During his run on GH<\/em>, Craig was nominated for four Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series, taking home the award in 2016 and 2017.<\/p>\n

While speaking with Soap Opera Digest<\/em><\/a> in 2016, the actor opened up about his decision to leave General Hospital<\/em>, explaining that he thought it was best to pursue other career opportunities at the time.<\/p>\n
