\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The brand new show Drag! The Musical <\/em><\/strong>is heading to New York this fall!<\/p>\n Alaska Thunderf*ck<\/strong><\/a>, who came in second place on RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em> season five and won the second season of All Stars<\/em>, co-wrote the new show and she\u2019s also starring in the musical for a limited run. <\/p>\n In DRAG: The Musical<\/em>, two Drag Houses, both alike in indignity, vie for supremacy in a wig-snatching journey of fashion, family, and forgiveness. After a bitter split, two estranged queens bring their already simmering tensions to a boiling point when they open competing clubs. In this queen-eat-queen tale of spite and survival, there\u2019s only one rule: No Lip Synching Allowed.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The cast will feature fellow Drag Race<\/em> alum Jujubee<\/strong><\/a> and Jan Sport<\/strong><\/a>, plus drag favorite Lagoona Bloo<\/strong><\/a>, Broadway veteran J. Elaine Marcos<\/strong><\/a>, and New Kids on the Block <\/strong>star Joey McIntyre<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The musical will begin performances at Off-Broadway house New World Stages on September 30 ahead of an opening night show on October 21. Joey<\/strong> is playing a limited run through November 24 and Alaska <\/strong>is in the show through January 11. <\/p>\n In a statement, Alaska Thunderf*ck<\/strong> said, \u201cWhen I first moved to Los Angeles, I dreamt of being an actor. Then I realized being an actor is hard, so I became a Drag Queen. Now, after almost 20 years of drag, I\u2019ve written myself into a musical. I think New York audiences are going to love this sweet and simple tale of Drag Queens being cunty to one another. What I\u2019m trying to say is: dreams really do come true.\u201d<\/p>\n Alaska <\/strong>co-wrote the show with Tomas Costanza <\/strong>and Ashley Gordon<\/strong>.
