Former <\/span>Bachelorette <\/span><\/i>star Kaitlyn Bristowe<\/a><\/strong> opened up about the \u2018full panic attack\u2019 she experienced after her ex-fianc\u00e9 Jason Tartick<\/strong> decided to start a podcast.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen I met Jason, it was very much like, \u2018Oh, no, I\u2019m not going to be an influencer, I work at a bank,\u2019\u201d Kaitlyn, 39, recalled during a recent episode of the \u201cAlmost Adulting with Violet Benson\u201d podcast. \u201cI was like, \u2018OK, this is going to work out perfectly. He\u2019s a great guy, he doesn\u2019t want to be an influencer, he\u2019s going to make hay while the sun shines because he was on <\/span>The Bachelor<\/span><\/i> and he can bring in some cash, but really, he\u2019s so established in his bank job that we\u2019re going to have our separate lives.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Jason, 35, later lost his job<\/a> after Kaitlyn shared \u201ca PG-13 rated comment\u201d on her \u201cOff the Vine\u201d podcast, he told <\/span>Us Weekly <\/span><\/i><\/a>in 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHer confession was that the first time we hooked up, she had an orgasm from dry-humping. That confession hit a lot of headlines and made its way back to the office,\u201d he recalled, adding that his company gave him an ultimatum.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While Jason was pointing fingers at his ex for causing his career shift, Kaitlyn claimed that his \u201cface-first dive into influencer life\u201d after losing his job caused \u201cresentment<\/a>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAs time went on, he realized that podcasting is another avenue for income and that he could do a finance podcast,\u201d she told Violet. \u201cSlowly but surely, it was like, \u2018He\u2019s definitely going to do a podcast.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She went on to say that despite not wanting to present Jason with an ultimatum, she felt he \u201ccould be making all this other money in other avenues.\u201d Jason supposedly accused her of \u201cemotionally and financially stunting [his] growth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI had a full panic attack because I felt like I wasn\u2019t chosen and that my feelings were not worth over money for him,\u201d she claimed, adding, \u201cIt did create this resentment and betrayal feeling.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n According to the Canada native, Jason\u2019s decision to pursue an influencer lifestyle happened \u201cbehind [her] back.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI felt like I finally found what I was meant to do on this planet and share my voice and make people laugh and have deep conversations and not so deep conversations. I always wanted my own radio show,\u201d she continued, claiming that her ideal partner would be a man with \u201ca regular job.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Jason and Kaitlyn began dating in 2019 after he appeared on her podcast, shortly after her split from ex-fianc\u00e9 Shawn Booth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen I met him, dating anyone wasn\u2019t even on my radar, especially dating anyone in Bachelor world, but something in my mind was rooting for him. And I thought, \u2018Whoever dates him is a lucky girl,\u2019\u201d she told <\/span>People.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n The New York native popped the question in May 2021 with Kaitlyn calling the proposal \u201ceverything I could have asked for.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
