Marlo Hampton<\/strong> <\/a>stands by her decision to walk away from The Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/i><\/a>, but she is still in touch with the cast.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been really interesting seeing the girls and to see the new direction they\u2019re going in,\u201d Marlo, 48, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i>at Hollywood Unlocked\u2019s 4th annual Impact Awards. \u201cI\u2019m happy for them, and I can\u2019t wait to tune in and watch. I ended up being a part of this franchise for 10 years. How do I not watch? It\u2019s my family. I love my family, everyone at Bravo, everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marlo joined RHOA <\/i>as a friend in season 4, ultimately becoming a full-fledged Housewife during seasons 14 and 15. She confirmed her exit in February after her existing contract ended.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis break from RHOA<\/i> is a fresh start, allowing me the space to participate in new creative entertainment projects focused on my future, and not reliving my past,\u201d she previously told Us <\/i>in a statement<\/a>. \u201cMy nephews are transitioning into pivotal stages of their academic adolescence, and I am focused on my representation in their eyes and getting back to showing my multifaceted lifestyle of philanthropy, fashion, and fabulosity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhen it comes to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the drama offscreen has been just as juicy as the craziness caught on camera. Since the two-part RHOA season 15 reunion aired on Bravo in September 2023, shocking cast departures and confirmed returns have managed to shake the franchise\u2019s fervent fans to their core. The last [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

RHOA <\/i>season 16, which is currently filming, will star Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams<\/strong> and Drew Sidora<\/strong>. In addition, several new faces will get peaches for the first time. Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell <\/strong>and Angela Oakley<\/strong> are slated to make their Bravo debut in season 16 while Shamea Morton Mwangi<\/strong> was upgraded from a \u201cfriend.\u201d Cynthia Bailey<\/strong>, who left the show in 2021, will also return to season 16 in a \u201cfriend\u201d role.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Real Housewives of Atlanta has said goodbye to many cast members since its Bravo debut in 2008 \u2014 but there\u2019s always a chance they could return. For instance, original RHOA star NeNe Leakes left the show in season 7 before rejoining the cast in 2018. \u201cIt\u2019s been a long process but we\u2019ve finally reached [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI do know them from around. I\u2019ve been at a couple of events with them. I\u2019ve spoken with Kelly, Britt and Angela I have not met,\u201d she said on Friday\u2019s event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California, noting what it would take for her potential return. \u201cIt depends. If Bravo asked me to come back and do a show, yes, but right now I think they\u2019re full.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marlo continued, \u201cI don\u2019t have a lot of excitement and entertainment at Bravo.\u201d<\/p>\n
