\u201cThe children are doing good. It\u2019s summertime, we definitely want to keep them all busy and occupied, and that\u2019s the plan right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
Karen then thanked her followers for the direct messages she\u2019s received since the news of her split went public.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel the love. I genuinely feel the love. It\u2019s, like, I can almost get emotional,\u201d she said. \u201cTo see the outpour is just amazing. According to their divorce papers, they plan to split legal and physical custody of their 13 minor children equally, with Deon ordered to pay $1,166 per month in child support. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Karen will be responsible for the kids\u2019 medical insurance.<\/p>\n
\u201cTogether, we remain unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children \u2014 their well-being is our priority,\u201d the reality stars said via joint statement upon confirming their marriage is over.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thank everyone for their understanding and support as we move forward for the good of our family.\u201d<\/p>\nDeon and Karen Derrico share 14 children. They are now divorced. (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nAlong with an 18-year old \u2014 \u2014 whose desire to move across the country has been a point of contention on this season of their TLC series \u2014 the Derricos are parents of:<\/p>\n
Derrick, 13\u2026 12-year-old twins Dallas and Denver\u2026 10-year-old quintuplets Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Deniko and Dariz\u2026 6-year-olds Diez and Dior\u2026 and 4-year-old triplets Dawsyn, De\u2019Aren and Dyver.<\/p>\n
Karen sadly suffered two miscarriages in late 2020 and late 2021.<\/p>\n
She has previously said that she\u2019s open to having even more kids, telling Entertainment Tonight two years ago:<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, that diaper bag is not being hung up. I don\u2019t feel complete. I don\u2019t think we are 100 percent complete.\u201d<\/p>\nDoubling Down with the Derricos stars Karen and Deon Derrico speak to the camera. (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nAs a couple, however, Karen and Dean do<\/em> appear to be 100 completely done at this point.<\/p>\nIn her new video, Karen said that she wants to \u201clook into more self-care\u201d as she transitions to co-parenting and this new phase of life\u2026 and that she \u201cwould love to go on vacation somewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of speaking engagements coming my way that I have to go through and choose where I\u2019m gonna go, but I am thankful and grateful for that \u2013 to tell my story, my journey. So I am definitely looking into taking care of Karen for a while,\u201d she told folks, concluding as follows:<\/p>\n
