\u201cPop music hoarder\u201d Jack Antonoff<\/strong><\/a> has just added a new artist to his star-studded list of collaborators.<\/p>\n

Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong><\/a> revealed in a June 2024 interview with Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> that much of her sixth album, Short n\u2019 Sweet<\/em>, was produced by Antonoff. The Bleachers frontman\u2019s production style has received mixed reviews through the years, especially when it comes to his work with Taylor Swift<\/strong>, a close friend he shares with Carpenter.<\/p>\n

\u201cF\u2013k them all,\u201d Carpenter told Rolling Stone<\/em> of the critics. \u201cF\u2013k them all. I think he\u2019s one of the most talented people I\u2019ve ever met.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cWhen he\u2019s in a room, he\u2019s able to literally touch every instrument in the room and make it sound magical. He also works very fast, which I really appreciate because I work very fast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Antonoff was equally as proud to work alongside Carpenter, who he described to the outlet as \u201cone of the biggest young pop stars\u201d on the rise.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat song is such a statement of \u00adexpressing yourself, not just lyrically, but sonically,\u201d he said of her single \u201cPlease Please Please,\u201d which dropped in June 2024. \u201cI think that the aesthetic of not giving a f\u2013\u2014k or the aesthetic of telling it like it is has become so popular that there\u2019s a lot of people who pander to that concept rather than are that concept. Sabrina actually is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Antonoff has an army of A-list artists in his back pocket, and he fiercely defends those he\u2019s worked with most often. He\u2019s never shied away from calling out Swift\u2019s haters<\/a> \u2014 even on a public platform.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou come for my friend Taylor, you\u2019re toast to me. [It\u2019s] like challenging someone\u2019s faith in God. You just don\u2019t go there,\u201d he told the Los Angeles Times<\/em> in February 2024.<\/p>\n

Perhaps Antonoff\u2019s best known collaborations<\/a> have been with Swift, who he first produced for in 2013. The twosome teamed up on the song \u201cSweeter Than Fiction\u201d before Antonoff worked on Swift\u2019s 2014 album, 1989<\/em>. He\u2019s since lent a hand on 2017\u2019s Reputation<\/em>, 2019\u2019s Lover<\/em>, 2020\u2019s Folklore<\/em> and Evermore<\/em>, 2022\u2019s Midnights<\/em> and 2024\u2019s The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>, along with a few of Swift\u2019s rerecorded albums. Three of their collaborations earned Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards: 1989<\/em>, Folklore<\/em> and Midnights<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Lana Del Rey<\/h3>\n

Antonoff joined forces with Del Rey for the first time for her 2019 album, Norman F\u2013king Rockwell!<\/em> Leading up to the record\u2019s release, the pair performed together at an Apple Music event in the fall of 2018, debuting the song \u201cHow to Disappear.\u201d Norman F\u2013king Rockwell!<\/em> was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2020 Grammy Awards.<\/p>\n

The duo worked together again on 2021\u2019s Chemtrails Over the Country Club<\/em> and 2023\u2019s Did You Know That There\u2019s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,<\/em> the latter of which features Antonoff on the song \u201cMargaret,\u201d inspired by his relationship with Margaret Qualley<\/strong>. Did You Know<\/em> was also nominated for Album of the Year at the 2024 Grammys.<\/p>\n

Sabrina Carpenter<\/h3>\n

Antonoff is credited as the sole producer on Carpenter\u2019s single \u201cPlease Please Please,\u201d which dropped in June 2024. That same month, Carpenter told Rolling Stone<\/em> that Antonoff produced roughly half of her album Short n\u2019 Sweet<\/em> and described how their collaboration began.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was peeing my pants because I wanted to work with him for my whole life,\u201d she said, recalling their introduction at an NYC comedy club. \u201cAfter that, we, luckily enough, became friends; personalities meshed, and it was only a matter of time. He heard some of the stuff that I was working on for this album, and we just started to make magic.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 1975<\/h3>\n

Matty Healy<\/strong>\u2018s band worked with Antonoff on their 2022 album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language.<\/em> (Fans who\u2019ve followed Healy\u2019s saga with Swift will know Antonoff is name-dropped<\/a> on the song \u201cThe Tortured Poets Department,\u201d which was seemingly written about her 2023 fling with Healy.)<\/p>\n

While artists such as Beyonc\u00e9 and Jay-Z have each won more than 20 Grammys over the years, doing so is easier said than done. Antonoff produced songs on Jepsen\u2019s albums Dedicated<\/em> and Dedicated Side B.<\/em> Jepsen also provided background vocals on the song \u201cHate That You Know Me\u201d from Bleachers\u2019 2017 record, Gone Now. <\/em><\/p>\n

The Chicks<\/h3>\n

Antonoff produced the country group\u2019s 2020 comeback album, Gaslighter<\/em>, which marked their first release in 14 years.<\/p>\n

Masseduction<\/em>, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album following its 2017 release, marked the first collaboration for Antonoff and Annie Clark<\/strong>. The title track won a Grammy for Best Rock Song.<\/p>\n

The twosome subsequently teamed up on 2021\u2019s Daddy\u2019s Home,<\/em> and St. Vincent has performed at Antonoff\u2019s annual Ally Coalition benefit concert in support of unhoused LGBTQIA+ youth.<\/p>\n

The twosome were first linked in August 2021 following the Maid star\u2019s brief relationships with Pete Davidson and Shia LaBeouf. Florence & The Machine<\/h3>\n

Antonoff was one of the primary producers on Florence Welch<\/strong>\u2018s 2022 album, Dance Fever.<\/em> Welch is also featured on the song \u201cFlorida!!!\u201d from Swift\u2019s TTPD<\/em>, which had Antonoff at the helm.<\/p>\n

Outside of the studio, Antonoff received advice from Welch about composing his first Broadway show, a modern adaptation of Romeo and Juliet<\/em>. \u201cShe\u2019s walking me through it,\u201d he told TIME<\/em> in April 2024, adding that Welch, who worked on the music for Gatsby: An American Myth<\/em><\/a>, is giving him \u201ca lot of tips.\u201d<\/p>\n
