While actor Jesse Plemons<\/strong><\/a> is proud of losing weight<\/a> in a healthy and gradual process, he\u2019s lamenting how it came at a time when so many other stars are using Ozempic<\/a> to quickly shed pounds.<\/p>\n Jesse, 36, finally revealed the exact amount of weight he\u2019s lost during the red carpet premiere of his new film, Kinds of Kindness<\/em>, on Thursday, June 20. \u201cI\u2019m not lugging 50 more pounds around,\u201d he told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>. The Breaking Bad<\/em> alum added that it took \u201cover the course of a year and a half or so,\u201d to get to the weight he\u2019s at today.<\/p>\n The Killers of the Flower Moon<\/em> star said he now has \u201cmuch more energy,\u201d which has helped him be more active with the two children he shares<\/a> with wife Kirsten Dunst<\/strong>, sons Ennis, 6, and James, 3.<\/p>\n \u201cLike I\u2019ve said, I\u2019ve got young kids, so I got to keep up with them,\u201d he told the outlet.<\/p>\n Jesse\u2019s exact weight loss revelation came after he explained his dieting method in a June 13 interview with the Los Angeles Times<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cSeveral people talked to me about intermittent fasting and I just gave it a shot,\u201d the Game Night<\/em> star shared, adding he was \u201csurprised at how quickly it was effective.\u201d<\/p>\n Jesse quipped how the timing of his slim-down coincided with many Hollywood stars turning semaglutides such as Ozempic<\/a> and Mounjaro to quickly lose weight.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s really unfortunate that I decided to get healthy when everyone decided to take Ozempic,\u201d he told the publication while joking, \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter, everyone\u2019s going to think I took Ozempic anyways.\u201d<\/p>\n The Dallas, Texas, native first found fame on NBC\u2019s small-town football drama Friday Night Lights<\/em>. He went on to gain 45 pounds in 2015 for the mafia drama Black Mass<\/em> opposite Johnny Depp<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone\u2019s like, \u2018You gained all this weight!\u2019 I was like, \u2018No, I\u2019ve been fat for a while now,\u2019\u201d Jesse recalled in 2016 to GQ<\/em><\/a> after he was still carrying the pounds between Black Mass<\/em> and playing Ed Blumquist in season 2 of FX\u2019s Fargo<\/em>.<\/p>\n He added, \u201cI had lost a little bit of weight at the Fargo premiere, and I remember this guy, like, \u2018What\u2019s your secret to losing the weight? Tell us!\u2019 I was like, \u2018Well, I was eating everything, and then I just stopped eating terrible food.\u2019 It\u2019s not too complicated.\u201d<\/p>\n Jesse and Kirsten, 42, met and fell in love while filming Fargo<\/em> in 2015. The Marie Antoinette<\/em> star explained how she knew right away her future husband was something special during an April 24 interview on SiriusXM\u2019s The Jess Cagle Show with Julia Cunningham<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were both getting on the plane to go to Calgary, and I looked in his eyes. I still know that image of him in my brain.
