Music fans are going to L.O.V.E. Ashlee Simpson<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s plans for the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have new music coming out, but it\u2019s not coming out this summer. But it\u2019ll be coming out soon,\u201d Ashlee, 39, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/i> when celebrating her partnership with Dairy Queen<\/a>. \u201cNothing to share yet, but definitely working on it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, she may not be the only family member warming up her voice and working on some fresh material.<\/p>\n

\u201cJessica <\/strong>[Simpson<\/strong><\/a>] is in the studio, as well,\u201d Ashlee teased after her older sister posted a cryptic photo via <\/a>X in April. \u201cSo look at us both coming in. \u2026 There\u2019s more to come and you\u2019ll hear from Jess soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead of rushing through things, the former Ashlee Simpson Show<\/i> star reminded her fans that great music \u201cdoesn\u2019t happen overnight.\u201d Instead, it has to come at the right time.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, I do feel like I\u2019m ready now. I\u2019m really excited,\u201d she explained. \u201cI want to get back on the road, but being in that schedule of still doing mom stuff because that\u2019s my favorite thing too. It definitely takes time and it takes finding the sound that you want and that right connection and what you would want to put out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ashlee\u2019s latest tease is sure to be music to fans\u2019 ears as they celebrate 20 years since she released her debut album Autobiography<\/i><\/a>. The disc featured top hits, including \u201cPieces of Me,\u201d \u201cLala\u201d and \u201cShadow.\u201d<\/p>\n

To this day, Ashlee remains proud of the music she released when she was just 19.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that when you listen back, that was a piece of myself,\u201d she reflected. \u201cThat was exactly my diary. That was what I was going through and every day when I was writing at the studio, it was what I had just gotten through the night before or my inspiration on my drive to the studio. I feel super proud of that and it\u2019s so nice to have that.\u201d<\/p>\n
