Melissa Etheridge<\/a> is going to be a mother-in-law. The singer’s daughter, Bailey Jean Cypheridge, announced her engagement on Thursday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The 27-year-old shared the news in a <\/span>joint Instagram post<\/a> with her now-fianc\u00e9,\u00a0Jocelyn Simone, sharing a photo of the happy couple kissing and enjoying a meal together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On her Instagram Story, Cypheridge added, “I am the luckiest girl in the world. Yours forever.” She also shared a video of a dock and peaceful waves on the beach in Sag Harbor, New York.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Among those offering their well wishes was <\/span>Rosie O’Donnell<\/a>, who commented, “congratulations \ud83c\udf89\ud83c\udf7e\ud83c\udf8a\ud83c\udf88”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The duo appears to have gone Instagram official in February, with Simone <\/span>posting<\/a> a Valentine’s Day tribute at the time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Cypheridge was born via\u00a0artificial insemination to Etheridge and her then-partner, Julie Cypher. The late\u00a0<\/span>David Crosby<\/a>\u00a0was the sperm donor for both Cypheridge and her brother, <\/span>Beckett, who died<\/a>\u00a0at 21 in\u00a0May 2020 after\u00a0<\/span>struggling with an opioid addiction<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “He gave me the gift of family,” Etheridge <\/span>wrote of Crosby last year<\/a>.\u00a0“I will forever be grateful to him. … His music and legacy will inspire many generations to come. A true treasure.”<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to Cypheridge and the late Beckett, Etheridge is also mother to 17-year-old twins, son Steven Miller and daughter Johnnie Rose, from her relationship with Tammy Lynn Michaels.<\/span><\/p>\n Etheridge is now married to Linda Wallem.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Last year, <\/span>Etheridge opened up<\/a> about her\u00a0her spiritual beliefs and being a bereaved parent while discussing her book,\u00a0<\/span>Talking to My Angels.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n “When I talk about spirit, I believe in a non-physical and a physical, and I believe that there’s a spirit that we all are that we’re all connected to,” she said on\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Good Morning America<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Of her late son, she added, “I will see him again. I believe that Beckett wants me to be happy.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The two-time GRAMMY winner noted that writing about her journey has served as a “great healer” while reflecting on lessons learned.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “I have learned so much,” she said. “I learned how much I loved.
