Kevin Costner<\/strong><\/a> is officially done with Yellowstone<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on Horizon<\/em> and doing all of the things that\u2019s required, and thinking about Yellowstone<\/em>, that beloved series that I love and I know you love,\u201d Costner said in a video shared via X late Thursday, June 20.<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI just realized that I\u2019m not going to be able to continue season 5B or into the future. It was something that really changed me. I loved it. And I know you loved it. I just wanted to let you know that I won\u2019t be returning. I love the relationship we\u2019ve been able to develop, and I\u2019ll see you at the movies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Costner\u2019s official confirmation of his Yellowstone<\/em> departure comes just hours after Paramount Network announced that the final episodes<\/a> will premiere on Sunday, November 10, at 8 p.m. ET after a lengthy delay. The first half of season 5 concluded in January 2023.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tYellowstone is known for its family feuds, wild west antics and cowboy controversies \u2014 and the remaining season 5 episodes will continue to bring the drama. The first half of Yellowstone\u2019s final season finished airing in January 2023, and the show was subsequently in limbo. Paramount later confirmed in May 2023 that the rest of [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Costner\u2019s involvement in the second half of season 5 has been unclear, but he was not mentioned in Paramount\u2019s announcement on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Costner previously denied<\/a> that his Yellowstone exit was the result of a feud with show creator Taylor Sheridan<\/strong> or his busy schedule with the four-part Horizon<\/em> saga, the first of which hits theaters on June 28.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have taken a beating from those f\u2013king guys and I know a lot of times where it\u2019s coming from,\u201d he told Deadline last month of the rumors. \u201cI just elected not to get into that. But if you know me well enough, I made Yellowstone the first priority, and to insinuate anything else would be wrong. I did not initiate any of those things. They did.\u201d<\/p>\n
