Rachel Lindsay<\/strong><\/a> may not watch The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> after her time on the show, but she exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em> that it\u2019s \u201cinteresting\u201d that Jenn Tran<\/strong><\/a> wasn\u2019t the first choice as the season 21 lead.<\/p>\n \u201cI do think it\u2019s interesting that since I\u2019ve made that statement that it\u2019s come out that she wasn\u2019t their first choice,\u201d the attorney, 39, says about her past statement<\/a> rejoicing at Jenn\u2019s casting decision. \u201cAnd I hate that that\u2019s like a theme that\u2019s attached to her journey because it really should be about her. So, rather than focusing on it being historic in something that the franchise is doing, I\u2019d rather just focus on Jenn. And I\u2019m excited for her to hopefully get all the things that she wants.\u201d<\/p>\n Rachel, who partnered with Clairol and Glamsquad to bring free haircare to people\u2019s homes this summer, also tells Life & Style<\/em> that being the lead of a Bachelor<\/em> franchise is a \u201clearning experience.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou really learn what you want for yourself and who you are because you\u2019re detached from all the things that you normally are fixated on in real life,\u201d the TV host says. \u201cSo, I hope that you know she learns a lot about herself and love and what she desires as she goes through all of this and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n Rachel appeared on season 13 of The Bachelorette<\/em> and concluded filming the season after she accepted her estranged husband Bryan Abasolo<\/strong>\u2019s proposal. The couple tied the knot on August 24, 2019, in Canc\u00fan and built their lives in Los Angeles. Rachel and Bryan, 44, ended their marriage on January 2, 2024.<\/p>\n Hours after filing for divorce, Bryan announced their separation<\/a> via Instagram.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew. Bryan requested emergency spousal support<\/a> from Rachel in court documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/a><\/em> in May.<\/p>\n \u201cI want to move out of our Family Residence as soon as possible, but maintaining our standard of living is not financially feasible at this time,\u201d Bryan, who requested a judge to order [Rachel] to pay $75,000, reportedly said in the court documents. \u201cI placed my career as a chiropractor on hold to move twice for Rachel\u2019s career. These moves were detrimental to my chiropractic business, while Rachel\u2019s income and success as a media personality skyrocketed.\u201d<\/p>\n Weeks later, Rachel revealed that she and Bryan did not sign a prenup<\/a>. However, she now claimed that her \u201chindsight is 20\/20,\u201d and she \u201cwould\u2019ve\u201d insisted on a prenup.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
