Justin Timberlake was arrested on DWI-related charges Monday night in Sag Harbor, NY, police confirmed to multiple outlets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As of this writing, the Grammy-winner is still in police custody, but he\u2019s due in court Tuesday for arraignment, a Sag Harbor Justice Court official told Newsday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The details of Timberlake\u2019s arrest are scarce, but what we can tell you is the pop star appears to be in big trouble.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Justin Timberlake Arrested: Why Police Cuffed Him in New York<\/h2>\n

According to TMZ<\/a><\/em> sources, an incident went down in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the little town of Sag Harbor in Long Island.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Their sources claim that Justin was out with friends having dinner at a hotel. Just after midnight, JT got into this car to drive back to where he was staying, but was swiftly pulled over.<\/p>\n

The charges against JT are still unknown, but while some outlets are reporting a DWI, others speculate that he\u2019s been charged with a simple traffic violation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

TMZ\u2019s sources that they understand Justin was arrested In New York for a DWI. Their sources say cops performed a field sobriety test and asked Justin to take a breathalyzer test, but he refused. Apparently, there is body cam footage for this all going down!<\/p>\n

Either way, he was still in police custody as of this morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll update with more information as it comes in. As it stands, the police are expected to release a statement shortly. Meanwhile, Justin nor his camp have released anything to the press yet.<\/p>\n

JT is currently touring the country to support of his latest album, \u201cEverything I Thought It Was,\u201d which was released in March. <\/p>\n

On the schedule, he was two concerts slated for both Chicago\u2019s United Center and New York\u2019s Madison Square Garden next week. <\/p>\n

When the North American leg of the tour wraps on July 9 in Kentucky, he\u2019ll be off to Europe from the end of July through September before returning to North America in October, with the last date slated for Dec. 20 in Kansas City.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
