The actor is reportedly in \u201cgood spirits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Due to the incident, <em>Player Kings<\/em>\u2018 performance on Tuesday (Jun. 18, 2024) has been canceled to allow McKellen to rest. He cried out in pain, prompting staff to rush to his aid as the house lights illuminated the theater. The audience was informed that the remainder of the show was canceled and were subsequently evacuated.<\/p>\n<p>Ian McKellen, whose illustrious acting career spans several decades, has appeared in numerous Shakespeare adaptations both on screen and on stage.
