Deon and Karen Derrico are going their separate ways.<\/p>\n
Late this past week, TMZ confirmed that the leads of the TLC reality show Doubling Down With the Derricos have finalized their divorce\u2026 with a judge approving their paperwork back on June 6.<\/p>\n
\u201cTogether, we remain unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children \u2014 their well-being is our priority,\u201d Deon and Karen said in a statement on Saturday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thank everyone for their understanding and support as we move forward for the good of our family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/noscript>The cast of Doubling Down With the Derricos is featured in this picture. (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nYes, Deon and Karen are parents to 14 CHILDREN.<\/p>\n
The fifth season of their series is currently airing new episodes, with the next scheduled for June 18.<\/p>\n
The spouses \u2014 who got married in 2005 \u2014 will split custody of their 13 minor children (they have one teenager who is legally an adult); and Derrico has agreed to pay over $1100 a month in child support. <\/p>\n
Karen, meanwhile, is responsible for paying the medical insurance premiums of their children.<\/p>\nDeon and Karen Derrico share 14 children. They are now divorced. (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nTo summarize, the TLC personalities are are parents to Derrick, 13\u2026 12-year-old twins Dallas and Denver\u2026 10-year-old quintuplets Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Deniko and Dariz\u2026 6-year-olds Diez and Dior\u2026 and 4-year-old triplets Dawsyn, De\u2019Aren and Dyver.<\/p>\n
As mentioned above, oldest daughter Darian is 18 years old.<\/p>\n
Despite this impressive number of sons and daughters, Karen told Entertainment Tonight as recently as 2022 that she didn\u2019t think they were done having kids.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, that diaper bag is not being hung up,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cI don\u2019t feel complete. I don\u2019t think we are 100 percent complete.\u201d<\/p>\n
Deon echoed this sentiment, telling this same outlet back then: <\/p>\n
\u201c[I] think when you have created \u2013 what I think we have created \u2013 in this home, the love, the amount of love, I could just never get tired of.\u201d<\/p>\nDoubling Down with the Derricos stars Karen and Deon Derrico speak to the camera. (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nKaren sadly suffered two miscarriages in late 2020 and late 2021.<\/p>\n
The current season of Doubling Down With the Derricos focuses on the tension between Karen and Dion, as they argued at one point over Darian\u2019s decision to move across the country..<\/p>\n
The exes have also gotten into it about the state of their new home and their oldest daughter\u2019s education. <\/p>\n
With the Season 5 finale scheduled for July 2, new installments of Doubling Down With The Derricos air on TLC on Tuesdays at 8\/7c.<\/p>\n
No announcement has yet been made about the future of the program.<\/p>\nLife can be hectic on Doubling Down with the Derricos, considering all the kids involved. (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nDeon and Karen previously said they pay up to $3,500 in groceries per month and that it can take three hours to get the whole family ready for each day.<\/p>\n
And yet:<\/p>\n
\u201cI enjoy the journey. I enjoy breast-feeding. I enjoy all of that,\u201d Karen told Us Weekly two-plus years ago. \u201cAlthough I am high risk and have to go on bedrest, things of that nature, I still enjoy the process.\u201d<\/p>\n
For the record, based on these divorce documents, she is NOT pregnant at the moment.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
