Ice-T\u2019s new tour bus smells of pain relief rub and air freshener<\/p>\n
The 66-year-old rapper is hitting the road with his heavy metal band \u2018Body Count\u2019 in Europe throughout July and he says his touring vehicle\u2019s smells show how he has given up his wilder days.<\/p>\n
He told People: \u201cMy tour bus used to smell like weed, condoms and alcohol. Now it smells like Bengay and potpourri.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ice-T founded Body Count in the early 1990s, with the group infamous for its raunchy, violent lyrics.<\/p>\n
He has kept the group going while playing Detective Fin Tutuola on \u2018Law and Order: SVU\u2019 for the last 25 seasons of the show.<\/p>\n
\nBut with the drama on a break from filming until the middle of July, Ice is focusing on his music.<\/p>\n
\nWhen asked if his family will also be hitting the road alongside him, Ice said: \u201cYeah. Everybody goes. We have two tour buses. We have the family bus, with all the guys’ wives and kids. Our front bus is very run by the women. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThen we have the jail bus, which is all the roadies and all the guys that are by themselves. That\u2019s a bad bus.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nIce \u2013 born Tracy Lauren Marrow \u2013 has daughter Chanel, eight, with his wife of 22 years Coco Austin, 45, as well as his girl LeTesha Marrow, 48, and son Tracy Marrow Jr, 32, from previous relationships.<\/p>\n
\nIce\u2019s boy performs with Body Count under the name Lil\u2019 Ice, and the rapper said about his earlier days of touring: \u201cWhen you are young and you\u2019re out there, and you\u2019re basically f****** everything that moves, tour is a whole other animal.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBut he said about how his life on the road has changed with age: \u201cWhen you get older and you\u2019re married, you don\u2019t want to be away from your family. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou want your wife out there. So it changes. That\u2019s why I always tell people if you\u2019re meeting a new band \u2013 stay clear!\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAt the end of the show we\u2019re going to our hotel rooms \u2013 (it\u2019s) quiet, everything. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe young guys are out there (because) they have never seen anything like it. \u201cI ran around the world three or four times by myself, so I don\u2019t need to be out there by myself anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
