\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Alan Cumming<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out about getting more queer representation on The Traitors<\/strong><\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n The 59-year-old entertainer, who identifies as bisexual, serves as host and producer of the reality competition series.<\/p>\n In a new interview, Alan<\/strong> opened up about pushing for more LGTBQ+ representation among the contestants for the upcoming third season, following the early exit of Peppermint<\/strong><\/a> in season two.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOn a purely statistical basis, I think [the previous casts have been] very diverse racially and gender-wise, but there just wasn\u2019t enough LGBTQ people represented,\u201d he told EW<\/a><\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s exposure therapy, it\u2019s visibility. And you have to do it in every small way you can. We need to see that trans people are everywhere. They felt more comfortable to be visible in the last couple of decades. But historically, there\u2019s always a backlash against change, and we are in the midst of a huge one right now. My response to that is to push back and say, \u2018No, we\u2019re not going to hide. Here are those people.\u2019 And if I have a chance to help do that by just saying to the producers of The Traitors<\/em>, \u2018We need to make sure there\u2019s more queer and trans people on the show,\u2019 I will.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve just got to be more representative,\u201d Alan<\/strong> continued. \u201cAnd even if there are more\u2026. I think, \u2018Why can\u2019t we have more people on these shows than actually are, percentage-wise, in society?\u2019 Why would that be so bad? It\u2019s happened for centuries the other way around with white straight men. I mean, why are we being so shackled by our quotas?
