Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a> revealed why she isn\u2019t currently drinking<\/a> \u2014 and how her fianc\u00e9, Orlando Bloom<\/strong><\/a>, factored into her decision.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been sober for five weeks today,\u201d Perry, 38, told the crowd<\/a> on Monday, March 27, while attending a curated cocktail event at Mister Paradise in New York City. \u201cI\u2019ve been doing a pact with my partner.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cRoar\u201d songstress \u2014 who was at the bash with her fellow American Idol<\/em><\/a> judges Lionel Richie<\/strong><\/a> and Luke Bryan<\/strong><\/a> as well as host Ryan Seacrest <\/strong><\/a>\u2014 joked, \u201cI want to quit\u201d and pretended to cry.<\/p>\n When Bryan, 46, asked if the California native was caving she quickly replied, \u201cNo, girl! I can\u2019t cave. I made a promise. Three months.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cHot N Cold\u201d singer opted to sip on one of her non-alcoholic aperitifs from her De Soi line<\/a>, which launched in January 2022. She even shared her cocktail recipe for the \u201cGolden Ticket\u201d drink with partygoers, which includes one can of her Golden Hour De Soi, mint leaves and cucumber muddled over ice.<\/p>\n Perry and Bloom\u2019s no-alcohol challenge began one month after the Pirates of the Caribbean<\/em><\/a> actor, 46, got candid about the ups and downs in the couple\u2019s relationship.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re in two very different pools,\u201d the Carnival Row<\/em> star, who shares 2-year-old daughter Daisy with the musician, told Flaunt Magazine<\/em> in February<\/a> of the duo\u2019s different career choices. \u201cHer pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands.\u201d<\/p>\n The England native \u2014 who shares 12-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 noted that he and his \u201cbaby mama and life partner\u201d Perry have each other\u2019s best interests at heart.<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes things are really, really, really, challenging. I won\u2019t lie,\u201d Bloom explained. \u201cWe definitely battle with our emotions and creativity, [but] I think we\u2019re both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did, and there\u2019s definitely never a dull moment.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite their relationship ebbs and flows, the \u201cLast Friday Night\u201d songstress and the Lord of the Rings<\/em><\/a> actor appear to be content with their life as a family of three.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re not taking any steps to prevent kids, but they\u2019re not actively trying for another one,\u201d an insider exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> in October 2022, adding that Perry \u201cdoesn\u2019t want to walk down [the] aisle pregnant.\u201d<\/p>\n The twosome, who got engaged in February 2019<\/a>, initially planned to wed in December of that year but pushed it to early 2020.
