Anne Hathaway<\/strong><\/a> has a big hit on her hands with The Idea Of You<\/em> \u2013 and she\u2019s determined to build on it by taking on more challenging roles, whilst whipping herself into the shape of her life in time for summer and playing the role of hands-on mom to her and husband Adam Shulman<\/strong>\u2019s two young kids<\/a>. An insider exclusively tells Life & Style,<\/em> \u201cAnne overcompensates for spending ninety percent of her time away from Hollywood [the place] by really giving it her all when she actually is a lead in one of these big studio or streaming productions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, she has built a thick wall between her family life \u2013 at a time when her kids really need her \u2013 and her acting career, but when Anne walks onto a set, \u2018not trying hard\u2019 isn\u2019t in her vocabulary and she gets that Tom Cruise<\/strong>-level of focus going pretty quickly,\u201d the insider says. \u201cTo that end, The Idea of You<\/em> is shaping up to be her Jerry Maguire<\/em> \u2013 a movie that is totally winning and romantic because of what she\u2019s bringing to the table, which is a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anne shares son Jonathan, 8, and Jack, 4, with husband Adam, 43. After building her family, the Princess Diaries<\/em> used her \u201cthick skin\u201d to help lead her sobriety<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t put [a drink] down because my drinking was a problem. I put it down because the way I drink leads me to have hangovers and those were the problem,\u201d she told Modern Luxury\u2019s Boston Common Magazine<\/em> in 2019. \u201cWhen I\u2019m at a stage in my life where there is enough space for me to have a hangover, I\u2019ll start drinking again, but that won\u2019t be until my kid is out of the house.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, the insider tells Life & Style<\/em> that \u201cAnne also brings that fire to her workouts, and she\u2019s like a 22-year-old when she\u2019s in the gym and keeping her body tight and toned.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a degree of focus a lot of people just don\u2019t have, including her husband Adam, who is laid back in the extreme and anything but a \u2018Type A\u2019 personality.
