Amanda Kloots has discussed her financial issues<\/p>\n
\nThe actor died from COVID-19 related complications in March 2020, aged 41, and Amanda has now revealed that Nick’s hospital treatment left her in a terrible financial situation.<\/p>\n
\nThe 42-year-old star – who married Nick in 2017 – said on the ‘Richer Lives’ podcast: “Nick was in the hospital for 95 days. His whole body was being run by machines. <\/p>\n
\n“The ventilator alone was $3,000 a day \u2026 on top of the 20 other machines that were running his body.”<\/p>\n
\nAmanda was shocked by the cost of Nick’s treatment.<\/p>\n
\nThe TV star – who had Elvis, five, with her late husband – shared: “When I heard that, I immediately was like, \u2018What am I going to do?\u2019 So you can imagine what the total bill was.”<\/p>\n
\nAmanda never actually imagined that Nick would pass away, despite his health struggles.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I never thought I was going to lose my husband. <\/p>\n
\n“Up until the day he passed away, I really thought we were going to make it. So I don\u2019t think the financial magnitude really really hit me until he passed away and calls were coming in \u2026 Unfortunately, death is a business.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Amanda previously admitted that she finds being a working mom to be an “emotional rollercoaster”.<\/p>\n
\nThe star confessed that she’s struggled to find a healthy work\/life balance.<\/p>\n
\nAmanda wrote on Instagram: “Saying goodbye to this little guy just keeps getting harder and harder. We were both in tears today, holding each other tight, doing our handshake, hugging and kissing over and over. This is new\u2026these types of goodbyes. He understands now when I have to leave him.<\/p>\n
\n“The work\/life balance as a working mother is so hard. I love work and I love my son. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that I don’t think you can fully understand until you do. (sic)”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
