Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> and his brother, Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a>, have added plenty to their resumes in the past year, but owning an NFL team might not make it on the list.<\/p>\n

The brothers debated the topic during the Wednesday, June 12, episode of their \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast following reports that Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie<\/strong> is \u201cexploring a sale\u201d of a minority stake in the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would rather try and buy the [Kansas City] Chiefs,\u201d Travis, 34, said when asked whether he\u2019d ever be interested in investing. (It goes without saying that Travis can\u2019t make the business move while still an active NFL player.)<\/p>\n

Jason, 36, offered another perspective. \u201cI don\u2019t know that it matters how much a minority stake it is, I don\u2019t think we can afford it,\u201d he teased, to which his brother noted, \u201cThat\u2019s a good point.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJason Kelce and Travis Kelce have an enviable sibling bond full of support, laughter and, of course, football. As the brothers have found success in the NFL, they have shared glimpses of their relationship off the field. Their family even served as inspiration for Travis\u2019 Saturday Night Live monologue, which he hosted for the first [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Travis further theorized that investing in a team could prevent him from having a future in sports broadcasting down the line. Jason, who recently signed a deal to appear on ESPN\u2019s Monday Night Countdown<\/em><\/a> following his NFL retirement, was unfazed.<\/p>\n

\u201cListen, I\u2019ll back out of the TV deal right now if you tell me I can own the Philadelphia Eagles. \u2026 Are you kidding me?\u201d he said with a laugh. (Jason played center for the Eagles throughout his entire 13 seasons in the league.)<\/p>\n

The siblings eventually proposed a workaround, floating the idea of another family member making the purchase. \u201cHow can we be an owner but not be an owner? \u2026 Kylie buys a portion?\u201d Jason wondered, referring to his wife. \u201cHow does that work?\u201d<\/p>\n

After eliminating any team with a \u201cpersonal connections\u201d from the realm of possibility, Jason decided where he\u2019d put his money if given the chance. \u201cI\u2019d buy the Jacksonville Jaguars and move them to London,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

In the end, however, the brothers concluded that the idea was a long shot. Jason went on to compare the thought of owning an NFL team to looking at houses out of his budget on Zillow. \u201cThat\u2019s my favorite thing to do,\u201d Travis quipped. \u201cEvery day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Outside of football, Jason and Travis agreed that owning a hockey team would be the most fun. Jason also considered the Moneyball<\/em> effect of being an MLB owner, but Travis wasn\u2019t on the same page.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t wanna do all that,\u201d he said. \u201cIf I was an owner, I feel like I would just wanna be there to, like, have fun. \u2026 I don\u2019t wanna deal with all that s\u2014t.\u201d<\/p>\n
