Rebel Wilson<\/a> has never met her future in-laws. In a new interview the 44-year-old Australian actress, who is engaged to <\/span>Ramona Agruma<\/a>, opens up about some of the adversity she faces as a member of the LGBTQ community, even from within her family.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Wilson and Agruma met in 2022 and share 19-month-old daughter Royce. Speaking to <\/span>Today.com<\/a>, Wilson shared that she will be meeting Agruma’s parents in a few weeks for the first time when the family of three travels to Europe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “I just think some people need a bit more time \u2014 and some people won’t ever come around to it, and that’s fine, and that’s their decision,” Wilson said. “There are still parts of the world that aren\u2019t as accepting.”<\/span><\/p>\n Agruma, whose family is from Latvia, struggled in 2022 when Wilson said the couple were threatened with being outted by an Australian publication. They decided <\/span>to go public with their romance<\/a> first and come out on their own terms, but that proved to be a challenge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Some people in her family didn\u2019t quite know, and found out via the press,” Wilson said. “I feel really lucky because from my side, I’ve had literally not one negative reaction.”<\/span><\/p>\n However, despite the early struggles, Wilson remains optimistic about connecting with Agruma’s family, thanks to their daughter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Roycie is the real icebreaker \u2014 they\u2019ve been FaceTiming with her,” she shared.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Wilson and Agruma <\/span>got engaged in Disneyland<\/a> in February 2023.\u00a0For more on their love story, watch the clip below:<\/span><\/p>\n
