Chayce Beckham<\/strong> didn\u2019t just walk away from American Idol<\/em><\/a> as a winner \u2014 he also managed to form a long lasting friendship with Luke Bryan<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

While speaking exclusively with Us Weekly<\/em> at CMA Fest on Saturday, June 8, Beckham, 27, discussed staying in touch with Bryan since his season 19 victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got a lot of advice, but he\u2019s always been just so supportive,\u201d Beckham noted. \u201cAnd any questions I have \u2014 even if I get sick or whatever \u2014 if I call him, he\u2019s always going to answer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The country singer appreciated the bond he managed to form with Bryan, 47, adding, \u201cIt\u2019s nice to have him and his advice in my corner.\u201d<\/p>\n

The series premiered in 2002 on Fox with a star-studded judging panel consisting of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. American Idol\u2018s freshman season introduced Kelly Clarkson, who would become the show\u2019s first breakout star. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Beckham was crowned the winner of American Idol<\/em><\/a> in 2021 after he reached the top three alongside Grace Kinstler<\/strong> and Willie Spence<\/strong>. Beckham originally surprised viewers when he sang \u201cWhat Brings Life Also Kills\u201d by Kolton Moore and The Clever Few, which earned him a \u201cyes\u201d from Bryan, Katy Perry <\/strong>and Lionel Richie<\/strong>. He moved on to Hollywood rounds before continuing to advance in the competition.<\/p>\n

While attending CMA Fest in Nashville, Beckham opened up about sharing the stage with fellow American Idol<\/em> contestants.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201c[There are] really just jaw-dropping singers and some of the most amazing performers. It\u2019s really cool just to share the stage with them and hear their stories and listen to them talk about their experience on American Idol,\u201d he noted to Us<\/em>. \u201cJust incredible voices and it\u2019s so cool to sing with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beckham was thrilled to perform<\/a> at the music event, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s awesome. Just come out and you play your songs and there\u2019s people there who wanna hear them. It\u2019s just the coolest feeling ever as an artist to have that audience.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tA revolving door! When American Idol debuted on Fox in 2002, music manager Randy Jackson, choreographer Paula Abdul and music executive Simon Cowell made up the panel of judges. For the first seven seasons of the show, the trio remained the faces of the series, along with host Ryan Seacrest. (Comedian Brian Dunkleman cohosted the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The musician got the chance to sing his hit track \u201c23,\u201d which changed Beckham\u2019s life since its release.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s my first No. 1 record and my first platinum record. This song has done so much for me in my career,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201cStill right now it\u2019s changing so much for me. So, [I\u2019m] just grateful that I wrote it down one day.\u201d<\/p>\n
