The Morning Show<\/em><\/a> season 4 will feature a new, yet older, face: Alex Levy\u2019s (Jennifer Aniston<\/strong>) dad.<\/p>\n

The role of Martin Levy in the upcoming season was confirmed to TVLine<\/a> on Tuesday, June 11. Martin is described as a \u201ccharming, sharp, deep-thinking man with a sense of humor\u201d who\u2019s in his 70s or early 80s. He will be in about six episodes, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s unclear if the gig has been slated, Kevin Kline<\/strong> was allegedly in the running to be Alex\u2019s dad. However, TVLine reported that Kline, 76, passed on the opportunity.<\/p>\n

The casting announcement comes one day after Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed that Julianna Margulies<\/strong>, who played journalist and Bradley Jackson\u2019s (Reese Witherspoon<\/strong>) ex-girlfriend Laura Peterson, would not be coming back<\/a> for season 4.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Morning Show is working double time to make sure its season 4 return feels timely. \u201cThe show will be out after the election,\u201d showrunner and executive producer Charlotte Stoudt told audience members at PaleyFest on April 13, adding that the new season is in the midst of being written but she is struggling to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Us<\/em> learned from a source that Margulies, 58, was asked whether she had interest in returning to the series for season 4, as well as a potential season 5. Variety<\/em> reported that Margulies\u2019 decision not to reprise her role came before she made headlines in 2023 for her controversial comments about the war in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, it was reported that Marion Cotillard would be joining the crew for season 4 as Celine Dumont, a savvy operator from a European family.<\/p>\n

Slow Horses was the first show to score a renewal in 2024. In early January, Apple TV+ picked up the series for a fifth season, which will be based on Mick [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe show will be out after the election,\u201d Stoudt told audience members at PaleyFest in April, adding that she\u2019s struggling to approach season 4 in \u201can interesting way without being predictive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans of the series may recall that season 3, which wrapped in November 2023<\/a>, ended with the cast stopping Paul Marks (Hamm) from selling the network to Hyperion. Meanwhile, Bradley and her brother, Hal (Joe Tippett<\/strong>), turned themselves into the FBI for their role in the January 6 insurrection.<\/p>\n
