Tayler Holder<\/strong> went from being \u201cthis TikTok kid\u201d to a country music star<\/a> \u2014 and he\u2019s still trying to figure out the major transition.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing that I have figured out myself is that having millions of followers doesn\u2019t necessarily convert into streams. Just like anyone probably knows, if they do know me, I blew up from everything besides music \u2014 let alone country music,\u201d Holder, 26, told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively at CMA Fest<\/a>. \u201cWe have been accepted by a lot of people and it\u2019s been really, really great. We\u2019ve had a hell of a year, but also at the same time, there\u2019s been a lot of people that have been struggling to digest it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holder started off on social media (he boasts over 19 million followers on TikTok<\/a>) before making his \u201cactual\u201d debut on the country music scene in 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t how I blew up at all,\u201d he told Us<\/em>, admitting that some people have referred to him as \u201cjust [a] fake country boy\u201d who releases music. This year, however, there\u2019s been a major turning point in his music career.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that people just see that we\u2019re actually here to stay,\u201d Holder told Us<\/em>, especially after he opened up for Dylan Scott<\/strong> on the This Town\u2019s Been Too Good to Us Tour<\/em> late last year.<\/p>\n

Holder gushed that he \u201clearned everything\u201d from being on the road with Scott, 33, whom he was friends with before they toured together. \u201cI owe everything to him right now, man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thanks to Scott\u2019s tour, Holder went from playing small venues to \u201cslam packed\u201d stages in front of 5,000 people.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe brought me out on stage every night to sing a song with him, I was in his tour bus every single day,\u201d Holder recalled. \u201cIt felt like it was just as much my tour as it was his, and that was the coolest experience I could have asked for.\u201d<\/p>\n

When it came to taking the stage at CMA Fest in Nashville this past weekend, Holder was excited to perform his latest song, \u201cNothing\u2019 But Neon,\u201d which was semi-inspired by Morgan Wallen<\/strong>\u2019s music.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was kind of different,\u201d he said, calling the tune \u201ctrap country.\u201d<\/a> At first, Holder didn\u2019t know what his fans were going to think. \u201cThey have been absolutely loving it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
