\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Julia Louis-Dreyfus<\/strong><\/a> is not in agreement with her former Seinfeld<\/em><\/strong><\/a> co-star.<\/p>\n The actress responded to Jerry Seinfeld<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s comments recently, making headlines<\/a> after saying that \u201cfunny stuff\u201d doesn\u2019t exist on television anymore because of \u201cextreme left and PC crap and people worry so much about offending other people.\u201d<\/p>\n Julia<\/strong> responded to that take in an interview with the New York Times<\/a><\/em> published over the weekend.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen I hear people starting to complain about political correctness \u2014 and I understand why people might push back on it \u2014 but to me that\u2019s a red flag, because it sometimes means something else,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n \u201cI believe being aware of certain sensitivities is not a bad thing. I don\u2019t know how else to say it.\u201d<\/p>\n She agreed that looking back on shows from 30 years ago through today\u2019s lens, \u201cyou might find bits and pieces that don\u2019t age well.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think to have an antenna about sensitivities is not a bad thing. It doesn\u2019t mean that all comedy goes out the window as a result,\u201d she went on to say.<\/p>\n \u201cMy feeling about all of it is that political correctness, insofar as it equates to tolerance, is obviously fantastic. And of course I reserve the right to boo anyone who says anything that offends me, while also respecting their right to free speech, right?\u201d she added in a follow-up interview.<\/p>\n She added that in her opinion a bigger problem and threat to art is \u201cthe consolidation of money and power.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAll this siloing of studios and outlets and streamers and distributors \u2014 I don\u2019t think it\u2019s good for the creative voice.
