It\u2019s worth taking this announcement with a big grain of salt, as Musk\u2019s tweets haven\u2019t always turned into enforced policy or features. Perhaps the biggest example is his promise from February that the company was going to start sharing ad revenue with Blue subscribers, something that\u2019s still MIA<\/a> almost two months later. That same month, he also promised<\/a> to open-source the company\u2019s algorithm by March 5th, which hasn\u2019t happened yet \u2014 though now he says<\/a> it\u2019ll happen on March 31st, without acknowledging the previous missed deadline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Musk has made similar promises in the past. Before he dropped the charade<\/a> of supposedly asking the community before making major changes to the service, he said<\/a> that Twitter would only allow Blue Subscribers to vote in policy polls. It\u2019s a bit of a moot point now that he\u2019s not really doing those anymore, though.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
