The ‘Dear Future Husband’ singer – who has Riley, three, and 11-month-old Barry with husband Daryl Sabara – was worried she’d have to give up music because she wouldn’t be able to juggle it with motherhood, but she’s ultimately found her sons to be a huge source of drive and inspiration.<\/p>\n
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: \u201cWhen I got pregnant, I had that thought, \u2018Is my career done now I am a mom?\u2019 I thought that I couldn\u2019t do both. But then I released Made You Look, and that song blew up.<\/p>\n
\u201cI had the best year of my career after my baby \u2013 because he inspired me to be the best version of me.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery morning I would walk in, just stare at him for about 45 minutes and think, \u2018I\u2019m going to get the healthiest I\u2019ve ever been, be the most motivated, write the best songs I\u2019ve ever written.<\/p>\n
\n\u201c\u2018I\u2019m going to work my a*** off to show you that you can have it all, and you can live your dreams\u2019.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIf you want something bad enough, work hard and get it done, because we\u2019re doers. That\u2019s what I say to my husband all the time.<\/p>\n
\nWe\u2019ve had some tough times, but I always say that I\u2019ve survived two pregnancies and two C-sections, so there\u2019s nothing I can\u2019t do.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe 30-year-old singer is preparing to take her family on tour with her in September and she’s hoping to speak to some other famous mothers for tips before getting out on the road.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI\u2019d love to talk to pop stars who have kids and ask, \u2018How do you tour with children?\u2019 because it\u2019s not like something you can learn on YouTube.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe\u2019re trying to get in touch with P!nk \u2013 our nanny is going to reach out to hers. But until that happens we\u2019re just holding hands together, trying to get through it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnd Meghan can’t help but worry about her children will cope away from home.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cMy children\u2019s happiness comes above all so I\u2019m like, \u2018What if they\u2019re miserable? What if one is car-sick or nauseous?\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI always think the worst. But luckily my kids do love adventure, and they love car rides. Riley is stoked about the tour bus.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
