Rob Schneider<\/b><\/a> is a common fixture in many Adam Sandler<\/b> movies, but a recent stand-up set of his was in need of an entirely different \u201cSandman.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schneider, 60, was asked to end his\u00a0 set at the Hospital of Regina Foundation\u2019s\u00a0 Four Seasons Ball on Saturday, June 1, due to transphobic and anti-vax jokes, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone in the room was groaning, saying, \u2018What is going on?\u2019 Like whispering to themselves. Not a single laugh at times,\u201d a witness told the CBC<\/i><\/a>. \u201cIt was just very apparent how uncomfortable everyone felt and how unacceptable the things he was talking about were.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hospital of Regina Foundation shared in a press release that Schneider\u2019s set did not \u201calign with the values of our foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n

They added, \u201cA decision was, therefore, made to ask Mr. Schneider to end his performance earlier than intended, to which he agreed and immediately left the stage. An unconditional apology was offered right after to our guests and our community. We reiterate this sincere and unconditional apology today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Attendees at the charity event took to Reddit to criticize Schneider\u2019s conduct that evening.<\/p>\n

One user wrote<\/a> that \u201cit was awkward as hell,\u201d adding that the Hot Chick<\/i> star \u201cwent on about how \u2018dumb\u2019 women are in an audience that was about 50% women, made anti-trans, anti-science jokes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe then moved to transphobia saying that \u2018back in my day we liked our women without penises\u2019 and told an anecdote about how he told his son, who is \u2018bad at sports\u2019 to say he is a girl to get a better chance,\u201d another added<\/a>.<\/p>\n
