The singer and beauty mogul appeared to be sending a message with her outfit choice on Thursday as she was spotted enjoying a walk through New York City <\/span>with her beau<\/a>, <\/span>A$AP Rocky<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The 36-year-old self-made billionaire was photographed rocking a high fashion t-shirt dress that featured a shirt reading, “I’m Retired, This Is As Dressed Up As I Get.” The subtle statement comes as her fans — dubbed the Rihanna Navy — <\/span>continue to clamor for her highly anticipated next album<\/a>, which they’ve <\/span>nicknamed <\/a>R9<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Connor Ives, the fashion brand behind RiRi’s sold-out dress, teased that the superstar is “Always sending messages” with a winking face in <\/span>an Instagram post<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The “Love on the Brain” singer’s last full-length album, <\/span>Anti<\/span><\/em>, was released in 2016. The mother of two has since <\/span>redirected her energy to her fashion<\/a>, beauty and personal endeavors, but did release a single — <\/span>“Lift Me Up”<\/a>\u00a0for the <\/span>Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<\/em><\/a> soundtrack — in 2022. She also <\/span>performed at the Super Bowl halftime show<\/a> in 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The status of Rihanna’s hypothetical ninth album has become something of a running joke for the singer, who has addressed her progress in numerous interviews with ET.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Most recently, in April<\/a>, Rihanna had a cheeky response when asked when <\/span>R9 <\/span><\/em>is coming out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “I wanna know, too,” she joked.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The artist also addressed whether her sons — <\/span>RZA, 2<\/a>, and <\/span>Riot, 10 months<\/a> — might be featured on any upcoming tracks, saying it’s “up to them.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n She added, “I already got stuff that I feel like I could make hits out of.”<\/span><\/p>\n At the time, Rihanna said that <\/span>she and Rocky<\/a> were in the process of “really trying to figure out who’s gonna use what.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Because it’s so good,” she teased.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Back in October 2023, ET had learned that\u00a0<\/span>the GRAMMY winner was planning a world tour\u00a0<\/a>for 2024\/2025 after striking a deal with Live Nation amid plans to release new music.
