While many Bachelor and Bachelorette couples have called it quits <\/a>while the series is airing, Zach Shallcross<\/strong> <\/a>has all but confirmed season 27 of the ABC series at least ends in a proposal.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very happy and I think fans are gonna be really surprised at the love journey,\u201d the reality star teased to Us Weekly<\/em> ahead of the January 2023 premiere<\/a>.<\/p>\n During the first episode<\/a>, Zach noted that he felt like his wife was among the 30 contestants who arrived at the mansion for him. Us<\/em> subsequently asked Zach whether that feeling changed during production.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s a great, great question,\u201d he responded. \u201cTo be honest, there was not one moment throughout the entire filming where I wasn\u2019t confident that she\u2019s in this room.\u201d<\/p>\n During an interview with Variety<\/em>, the Bachelorette<\/em> season 19 alum<\/a> noted that \u201ca lot happens\u201d in his \u201cemotional roller-coaster\u201d of a season, but it\u2019s all a \u201cbeautiful part of how everything works out.\u201d<\/p>\n While Zach told Us<\/em> that his season won\u2019t feature \u201cdumb drama,\u201d there are plenty of tears in the trailer.<\/p>\n \u201cThe one thing that fans will know or learn about me is I\u2019m a guy that wears my heart on my sleeve. I don\u2019t try to hide it. I\u2019m an emotional guy,\u201d he told Variety<\/em>. \u201cThose tears, it comes from a place of never wanting to really hurt anyone, and that\u2019s a hard thing when you\u2019re in this environment where it\u2019s inevitable \u2013 like, people will be going home. Without giving too much away, the tears come from a place of just feeling for all the women involved and trying my best to navigate it.\u201d<\/p>\n Past Bachelors, including Ben Higgins<\/strong><\/a> and Clayton Echard<\/strong><\/a>, have fallen in love with more than one woman<\/a> during their respective season. For Zach, that wasn\u2019t an option.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like the Bachelor<\/em> world \u2014 Bachelor\/Bachelorette<\/em> \u2014 they literally coined the different terms of love: \u2018Falling in love, in love, I love you.\u2019<\/a> For me, yeah, it was something that was definitely in my mind,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201cI\u2019m someone that believes you have one true love, like, the one person that your heart just yearns for. The one you think of when you go to bed. The one you think of when you wake up. You only have one love, but there are varying degrees of love to get to that point. And your heart knows what it wants. It can get pulled into different directions and that\u2019s something that can happen. But for me, I am a firm believer that there is just that one true love.\u201d<\/p>\n Zach will choose between his final two \u2014 Kaity Biggar <\/strong>and Gabi Elnicki<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 during the Monday, March 27, finale. If he gets engaged, he will be the first Bachelor to get down on one knee since Peter Weber<\/strong><\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very happy with how things worked out and everything happened for a reason,\u201d he teased to Us<\/em> in February 2023. \u201cI wish every single one of these women the best. They\u2019re all awesome in their own unique ways.\u201d<\/p>\n
