The country music queen has said the discovery left her \u201cuncontrollably fragile\u201d and \u201cso angry.\u201d But their divorce was finalized in 2010 and, remarkably, the following year, Shania exchanged vows with a man who was \u201cnavigating the same pain\u201d: Marie-Anne\u2019s jilted husband, <strong>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Thi\u00e9baud<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, all these years later, the singer says she\u2019s made peace with her ex and what he did. \u201cForgiveness is in the family of letting\u201d she explained on the May 28 episode of the \u201cGreat Company with Jamie Laing\u201d podcast. \u201cBut forgiveness, more specifically standing the other person, and that might mean that they\u2019re wrong \u2026 Maybe you believe forever that whatever they did was wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cMan! I Feel Like a Woman!\u201d hitmaker, 58, knows she\u2019s not to blame. \u201cDo I hate my ex-husband for making a mistake? No. It\u2019s his mistake. Not my mistake,\u201d Shania added. \u201cSo sad for him that he made such a great mistake that he has to live with. And I don\u2019t know what that is, but it\u2019s not \u2026 That\u2019s not my weight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the end, Shania discovered true happiness after all that heartbreak. \u201cI think everyone gets what they deserve.
