Valerie Bertinelli<\/strong> <\/a>and her boyfriend, Mike Goodnough<\/strong>, are both real weiners when it comes to their flirtatious banter.<\/p>\n

After the twosome spent the day together enjoying hot dogs at Rutt\u2019s Hut in Clifton, New Jersey, Goodnough took to social media to confess that he couldn\u2019t help but focus on the couple\u2019s meal instead of his leading lady.<\/p>\n

\u201cI only have eyes for @wolfiesmom, but the camera couldn\u2019t help but stare at these two chili dogs,\u201d Goodnough wrote via Threads<\/a> on Tuesday, June 4, alongside a photo that zeroed in on two chilidogs while Bertinelli, 64, remained fuzzy in the background. \u201cI think it just appreciates fine art\u2026 because those chili dogs were masterpieces.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Food Network star didn\u2019t take the slight personal, however, and instead used her best hot dog puns to joke around in the comments section. \u201cLet\u2019s be frank, honey. You were totally smitten \ud83e\udd24 and relished those 2 puppies,\u201d she quipped. \u201cI suppose it could\u2019ve been wurst but I do know that out of all the hotdogs in the world, you pickle me \ud83d\ude01.\u201d<\/p>\n

The One Day at a Time actress, who shares son Wolfgang with her late ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen, revealed in March 2024 that she was dating someone \u201cvery special\u201d for the first time [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Goodnough has no problems quickly matching her sense of humor. He replied, \u201cMadam, please step away from the Dad Joke Machine. You haven\u2019t been checked out on that equipment. Seriously though, even when I\u2019m a brat, you aren\u2019t chili to me. I know I\u2019m the real wiener here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans of the duo couldn\u2019t help but gush over the sweet exchange. \u201cYou two are so freaking cute together!!!! You are a hallmark movie waiting to be made,\u201d one person commented, while another added: \u201cYou two are so freaking adorable!\u201d<\/p>\n

Bertinelli first shared that she was dating someone new in March before going Instagram official<\/a> with Goodnough the following month. The actress used lyrics from Taylor Swift\u2019s Travis Kelce-inspired The Tortured Poets Department song, \u201cSo High School,\u201d to commemorate the special occasion, sharing a photo of the twosome wearing matching black-rimmed glasses.<\/p>\n

\u201c\ud83c\udfb6 I\u2019ll drink what you think and I\u2019m high from smokin\u2019 your jokes all damn night \ud83c\udfb6\u2665\ufe0f @therealhoarse,\u201d Bertinelli wrote alongside the cute snap.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey look happy, those two,\u201d Goodnough replied via Instagram comment.<\/p>\n

According to Bertinelli, she and Goodnough reconnected via Instagram<\/a> after initially becoming friends on the platform a few years ago. The duo spoke on the phone for months before things turned romantic in January when they met up in New York City\u2019s Central Park.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s crazy the comfort level,\u201d Bertinelli, told People<\/em><\/a> last month. \u201cIt feels incredibly right. \u2026 I found joy first, and then a man entered my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their relationship comes on the heels of her 2022 divorce<\/a> from Tom Vitale<\/strong> and the death of her first husband<\/a>, Eddie Van Halen<\/strong>, who died in 2020 after a battle with throat cancer. The pair share son Wolfgang, 33.<\/p>\n
