Captain<\/strong> Jason Chambers<\/strong> has some feelings about seeing his former Below Deck Down Under<\/em><\/a> costar Aesha Scott<\/strong> rejoining Captain Sandy Yawn<\/strong><\/a> on Below Deck\u00a0<\/em>Mediterranean<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Jason reacted to an interview where Aesha was asked about his reaction, writing via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, June 3, \u201cOf course I was put off a little, but with no season 3 in the pipeline and lie in general, situations change and people move on for their own reasons and requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n

The captain made it clear he supported Aesha in her professional endeavors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cChange is great in life, it creates us to grow,\u201d he continued. \u201c@aesha_jean and myself had two great seasons, you need to be grateful for what you have and had and now what you want.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOver the years, Below Deck fans have become familiar with many captains \u2014 and some made more memorable impressions than others. Below Deck, which premiered in 2013, explored the glamorous world of yachting and the not as beautiful behind-the-scenes situations that the crew must handle. The first season introduced viewers to Captain Lee Rosbach and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the aforementioned interview with Decider<\/em>, Aesha said: \u201cI don\u2019t know if he was, but I mean, I\u2019m sure he was. I didn\u2019t tell him beforehand because we\u2019re supposed to stay in the bubble and I\u2019m a good girl. \u201cHe heard it through the grapevine somehow, and he messaged me being like, \u2018Oh, I\u2019ve heard that you\u2019ve gone back to over there.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Yeah, sorry. I should have told you.\u2019 But he\u2019s like, \u2018No, that\u2019s fine. All the best, blah, blah, blah.\u2019 He is always very supportive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aesha joined Below Deck Med<\/em> during season 4 and worked as a second stew under Hannah Ferrier<\/strong>\u2019s reign. She became the chief stew alongside Captain Jason on Below Deck Down Under<\/em> for the first two seasons of the spinoff before returning to her Below Deck Med<\/em> roots<\/a> as the chief stew during season 9, which premiered on Monday.<\/p>\n

Aesha also opened up about being reunited with Sandy.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cOh, incredible and amazing, and scary and awesome. It\u2019s that feeling of leaving home and going on your OE [overseas experience] for a couple of years, and then really missing your family and flying back and rekindling all of the things that you loved,\u201d she gushed. \u201cIt was that exact feeling. It was so special to back where the journey started.\u201d<\/p>\n

The chief stew was excited to grow alongside her former boss<\/a>, adding, \u201cThe last time I worked for Sandy, I was a second stew and just a girl. I went off and flourished and became a chief stew. It was so cool to be able to come back and show her all the things I have learned and who I have become as a woman.\u201d<\/p>\n
