The industry tends to focus on solo artists \u2013 so it usually takes someone from outside to put a group together,\u201d Cowell shared in a statement.<\/p>\n
The judge will be holding auditions to put together the next big boy band, and the process will be filmed for a \u201cpotential documentary series\u201d produced with Box to Box Films, according to Rolling Stone. <\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s always a high degree of risk, and I genuinely have no idea what\u2019s going to happen! We might uncover an incredible group; we might not get there,\u201d he shared. \u201cWhat if no one shows up to auditions? That could be awkward. There is no guaranteed path to success \u2013 anything can happen, but that\u2019s what\u2019s exciting for me, and that\u2019s why I\u2019m doing this.\u201d<\/p>\n
Auditions will begin in England next month in Newcastle, Dublin, Liverpool and London. There is no streaming service yet attached to the upcoming potential docuseries.<\/p>\n
