Christina Applegate has opened up about having MS<\/p>\n

The former \u2018Married With Children\u2019 star – who was diagnosed with the neurological condition in 2021 – confessed that she is currently in a really \u201cfatalastic, f*** it\u201d headspace with her mental health after coming to terms with living the symptoms like mobility issues, fatigue and bowel control. <\/p>\n

The 52-year-old actress told her friend and actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler<\/a> on their podcast \u2018MeSsy\u2019: “I’m in a depression right now, which I don’t think I’ve felt that for years. Like a real, f**** it all depression where it’s kind of scaring me a little bit because it feels really fatalistic. <\/p>\n

“I’m trapped in like this darkness right now that I haven’t felt like… I don’t even know how long, probably 20 something years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christina also mentioned her surprise presenting stint at this year\u2019s Primetime Emmy Awards with pal Anthony Anderson, 53, as support. <\/p>\n

\nThe former \u2018Dead To Me\u2019 actress told her 43-year-old pal – who also has MS – that the gig was part of \u201cthe hardest day of [her] life\u201d and that she slept for \u201ctwo days\u201d after. <\/p>\n

\nWhile being frank about her condition, Christina said: “This is being really honest…I don’t enjoy living. I don’t enjoy it. I don’t enjoy things anymore.”<\/p>\n

\nJamie-Lynn – who is best known for playing Tony Soprano\u2019s daughter Meadow on the legendary HBO series \u2018The Sopranos\u2019 – admitted that she knew how \u201chard\u201d it can be but found it easier to not live in the past. <\/p>\n

\nShe said: “It’s so hard to live in a disabled body. It is so hard. I will not take that away from you and I am right there with you. But what makes it harder is when you compare it to how it used to be…Once we get you to this place where we’re accepting that this is how it’s going to be, maybe forever…[coping with MS] is not a reason enough for you to stop living because I sit here across from you and you still make me laugh like nobody else can. You still make me smile. You make me feel loved.”<\/p>\n

\nChristina first went public with her health update on X, writing: “I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It\u2019s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a—— blocks it.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
