The trailer for the second part of Bridgerton<\/em><\/a>\u2019s third season is leading some fans to think that Colin and Penelope\u2019s future could be over before it even started.<\/p>\n

Netflix released the sneak peek on Monday, June 3, which hinted at Colin (Luke Newton<\/strong>) potentially learning that Penelope (Nicola Coughlan<\/strong>) is actually Lady Whistledown. The first installment ended on a positive note<\/a> when Colin proposed to Penelope after revealing his feelings for her. According to the part 2 trailer, however, their honeymoon phase doesn\u2019t last long as Penelope tries to hide her biggest secret from Colin.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have always loved you, Colin,\u201d Penelope tells him as they share a dance. \u201cThere is nothing that makes me happier than being with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Penelope\u2019s double life bubbles to the surface as Colin\u2019s sister Eloise (Claudia Jessie<\/strong>) urges that she be honest with him. Colin also starts to pick up on hints when he points out the ink on Penelope\u2019s hands.<\/p>\n

Fans of Julia Quinn<\/strong>\u2018s Bridgerton book series are familiar with Colin and Penelope\u2019s love story<\/a>, which is explored in Romancing Mr. Bridgerton<\/em>. Despite the apparent onscreen obstacles, Colin and Penelope\u2019s connection wins out. Along with teasing the issues in Colin and Penelope\u2019s relationship<\/a>, the season 3 trailer gave a glimpse of their steamy sex scenes.<\/p>\n

The fan-favorite mirror scene made an appearance<\/a> in the video, where Colin and Penelope were seen seemingly consummating their relationship. The anticipation has been building since Coughlan, 37, teased the romance \u2014 and the sex<\/a> \u2014 featured throughout the season.<\/p>\n
