The Real Housewives of Atlanta <\/i><\/a>got some much-needed \u201cnew blood\u201d for season 16, according to returning favorite Cynthia Bailey<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re on Week No. 3 and already, these girls are jumping right in<\/a> getting their hands dirty,\u201d Cynthia, 57, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i>at Gurus <\/i>magazine\u2019s #30Voices30Days launch party on Saturday, June 1. \u201cI think you guys are in for a treat. I think three of them bring just the right amount of new blood that we needed for season sweet 16.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cSo, it\u2019s gonna be sweet and maybe bittersweet but I think you guys will be entertained.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Kenya Moore<\/strong>, Porsha Williams<\/strong> and Drew Sidora<\/strong> will all keep hold of their peaches for season 16, a slew of fresh faces will join them. Bravo previously confirmed that Brittany Eady<\/strong>, Kelli Ferrell<\/strong> and Angela Oakley<\/strong> have joined the cast. Shamea Morton Mwangi<\/strong>, for her part, was upgraded to a full-time Housewife after previous guest appearances.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhen it comes to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the drama offscreen has been just as juicy as the craziness caught on camera. Since the two-part RHOA season 15 reunion aired on Bravo in September 2023, shocking cast departures and confirmed returns have managed to shake the franchise\u2019s fervent fans to their core. The last [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Cynthia, meanwhile, was an OG star between seasons 3 and 13, ultimately leaving the show in 2021<\/a>. She will return to RHOA <\/i>season 16 as a \u201cfriend.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, there was a little trepidation about it only because I\u2019m just in such a small time in my life,\u201d Cynthia told Us <\/i>at the Saturday event, which was held at the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood. \u201cI\u2019m older and definitely one of the older ladies on the show. I just do me and choose love and peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI don\u2019t really want a lot of drama in my life. However, I do have a lot of history with some of the ladies that are still on the show and just with the show in general. So I feel like at this point, I can hopefully navigate the roads carefully. I\u2019m just excited to see Atlanta back on top again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Real Housewives of Atlanta has said goodbye to many cast members since its Bravo debut in 2008 \u2014 but there\u2019s always a chance they could return. For instance, original RHOA star NeNe Leakes left the show in season 7 before rejoining the cast in 2018. \u201cIt\u2019s been a long process but we\u2019ve finally reached [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Cynthia, who has been bicoastal<\/a> between Los Angeles and Atlanta, has a storied history with Kenya, 53. The two women notably feuded during Real Housewives Ultimate Girls\u2019 Trip <\/i>season 1, which aired in 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re good. We made it past Girls Trip,<\/i>\u201d Cynthia told Us. <\/i>\u201cWe took a break from each other, a break that I definitely initiated because I was not happy after the <\/a>Girls Trip<\/a>. <\/i>We\u2019re good. We respect each other\u2019s friendship boundaries. I love her always and we\u2019re in a great space.\u201d<\/p>\n
