Adele<\/strong><\/a> is a proud LGBTQIA+<\/a> ally and is not here for the haters.<\/p>\n During the singer\u2019s Saturday, June 1 concert in Las Vegas, she addressed the crowd in between songs when she was interrupted by a heckler in the crowd yelling, \u201cPride sucks!\u201d<\/p>\n Adele, 36, immediately silenced the concertgoer.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat was that? Did you just say, \u2018Pride sucks?\u2019\u201d Adele said on Saturday, per social media<\/a> footage. \u201cDid you come to my f\u2013king show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you f\u2013king stupid? Don\u2019t be so f\u2013king ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cIf you got nothing nice to say, shut up, all right?\u201d<\/p>\n Saturday was the first day of Pride Month<\/a>, an annual celebration for members of the queer community. While the month of June often honors Pride with a series of parties and parades, it is based on something deeper.<\/p>\n \u201cPride is a protest,\u201d Billy Porter<\/strong>, who is openly queer, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i><\/a>last month. \u201cIt\u2019s time for the elders to remind the kids that this is [a] protest. It\u2019s not just a party. Trust me, I believe in the party. You have to. And [also] contacting your local representatives [and] getting involved in local government. Vote bitches.\u201d<\/p>\n The first Pride celebration was launched in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, a series of gay liberation protests, in New York City.<\/p>\n Adele, for her part, has long been an ally of the community.<\/p>\n
