\n29 May 2024<\/time>\n<\/p>\nGaten Matarazzo was horrified when a woman in her 40s told him she’d had a “crush” on him since he was 13.<\/p>\n<\/p>\nGaten Matarazzo has had inappropriate comments from fans<\/p>\n\nThe 21-year-old actor has grown up in the public eye thanks to his role as Dustin Henderson in ‘Stranger Things’, who he has played since 2016, and he admitted he has had some “upsetting” and uncomfortable moments with fans.<\/p>\n\nSpeaking on the ‘ Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum’ podcast, he said: \u201cI did [an event] very recently \u2013 and this is not very funny, but the reactions around it were quite funny \u2013 where this woman in her 40s said straight up, \u2018I\u2019ve had a crush on you since you were 13.’<\/p>\n\n\u201cAnd I was like, \u2018That\u2019s upsetting.\u2019 I\u2019m sure she just meant, \u2018Aw, this kid\u2019s cute.\u2019 But then she doubled down.<\/p>\n\n\u201cShe was like, \u2018I\u2019m aware of the age difference.\u2019 And then I was like, \u2018Alright.’ “<\/p>\n\nAnd Gaten wasn’t the only person stunned by the woman’s “insane” confession.<\/p>\n\nHe added: “And her daughter was with her, and her daughter goes, \u2018Mom, what the f***?\u2019 I swear to God.\u201d<\/p>\n\nThe actor admitted he had also had fans behave inappropriately while he posed for photos with them.<\/p>\n\nHe said: “I’ve had a few butt grabs for sure.”<\/p>\n\nAlthough he is only 21, Gaten believes he will always be associated with ‘Stranger Things’, no matter how far into the future he continues to work.<\/p>\n\nHe said: \u201cWith this show, it is quite clear, and I am very well aware \u2013 and would like my professional team to understand that I am very OK with ‘Stranger Things’ being very likely the biggest thing I will ever do.<\/p>\n\n“And it will most likely be the thing I am remembered for even if I consistently work after this.<\/p>\n\n\u201cAnd I am so cool with that as long as it facilitates happiness going forward, security and more work going forward.<\/p>\n\n“What more could I ask for?
