In a shocking turn of events, Golden Bachelor<\/em><\/a> alums Susan Noles<\/strong><\/a> and Kathy Swarts<\/strong><\/a> revealed they are \u200bteam Gerry Turner<\/strong><\/a> amid his divorce from estranged wife Theresa Nist<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve gotta support this man a little bit,\u201d Susan, 67, said on SiriusXM\u2019s \u201cThe Jess Cagle Show\u201d alongside Kathy, 71, on Tuesday, May 28. \u201cI feel like he got the wrong end of it.\u201d<\/p>\n Susan further revealed that Gerry, 72, got frustrated with Theresa, 70, when she \u201cdecided not to move and not to quit her job<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWho can blame him? I mean, I would\u2019ve never said I would move to that place wherever that is in the middle of nowhere,\u201d Susan said.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Kathy made it clear that she and Susan \u201clike them both.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cGerry\u2019s a nice guy. Theresa\u2019s a lovely lady. You know, s\u2013t happens. Sorry,\u201d Kathy said. \u201cYou know someone [for] a month or six weeks and these things happen.\u201d<\/p>\n Susan and Kathy were contestants on The Golden Bachelor<\/em> season 1 alongside Theresa in hopes of finding love with Gerry. The retired restaurateur got down on one knee for Theresa during the finale and they tied the knot in January. Bachelor Nation attended the televised wedding and Susan even officiated the ceremony<\/a>.<\/p>\n Gerry and Theresa called it quits three months into their marriage and announced their separation<\/a> during a joint sit-down interview on Good Morning America<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe thing that strikes me the most and in our conversations it\u2019s been how dedicated both of us are to our families,\u201d Gerry told host Juju Chang<\/strong> on April 12. \u201cSo we look at these situations and I think we just feel like it\u2019s best for the happiness of each of us to live apart.\u201d<\/p>\n
