Wrexham AFC struggled with a few major losses in the latest episode of Welcome to Wrexham<\/em><\/a>, so Ryan Reynolds<\/strong><\/a> sent \u201cbig dog\u201d and cochairman Rob McElhenney<\/strong><\/a> to town.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, we are in the lowest point of our entire tenure,\u201d McElhenney, 47, said during the Thursday, May 30, episode of the FX series. Reynolds, also 47, added, \u201cI\u2019m not a football expert, so what the f\u2014k do I know? But no one can seem to figure out what\u2019s going wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reynolds admitted that the team\u2019s \u201caway form has been a little trashy,\u201d but he still loves them regardless. \u201cI die when they lose,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

McElhenney noted that he felt it was \u201cthe right time\u201d for a trip to Wrexham after multiple away losses knocked the team lower in the League Two standings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe truth is our boys are a little down right now. We haven\u2019t been playing our best and that can take a toll on morale. Not just on the team but throughout the whole town,\u201d Reynolds explained, revealing that he couldn\u2019t make the trip due to a Deadpool<\/em> editing commitment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m currently ensnared in an edit suite making sure Rob doesn\u2019t seem better than me in Deadpool<\/em>, which I just unfortunately had to cut him out of. Is this how he finds out?\u201d Reynolds joked. (Last week\u2019s Welcome to Wrexham<\/em> episode revealed that McElhenney had a role<\/a> in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

With Reynolds tied up, the It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em><\/a> star headed to Wales.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love Wrexham. I consider it my second home. I think it\u2019s just one of those places that just draws you back and always welcomes you back,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut it felt like morale had really dropped at that point, and I was really concerned. So, we wanted to go down there and show our support.\u201d<\/p>\n

McElhenney went to the Wrexham Racecourse, where he spoke with the team ahead of their game against Accrington Stanley. He told the players that he was \u201csure\u201d the score would be 4-0, with a win for Wrexham.<\/p>\n

\u201cF\u2014k these guys,\u201d McElhenney quipped. Wrexham ended up coming out with a win \u2014 defeating Accrington Stanley 4-0 like McElhenney predicted \u2014 and they moved back up in the standings.<\/p>\n
