Real Housewives of New Jersey<\/em> star Melissa Gorga<\/strong><\/a> revealed her thoughts on the popular weight loss drug Ozempic<\/a> during an appearance on Sherri Shepherd\u2019s<\/strong> daytime talk show, Sherri<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think I\u2019m the only one on the cast that does not take Ozempic,\u201d Melissa, 42, said when the talk show host asked if she had taken semaglutide.<\/p>\n However, the Bravolebrity wanted to make it clear that she wasn\u2019t throwing shade at anyone who did take the drug.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know what? I work out really, really hard, and to each their own for everything, but no, I don\u2019t take it,\u201d Melissa continued.<\/p>\n Sherri, 57, had previously had Melissa\u2019s RHONJ<\/em> costars Dolores Catania<\/strong> and Margaret Josephs on her show, and she explained that she had a conversation with them about Ozempic as well.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s what I was telling Dolores and Margaret,\u201d Sherri said. \u201cIf you\u2019re going to take Ozempic, you\u2019ve got to work out. The muscles melt. You\u2019re still skinny but the muscles are melting.\u201d<\/p>\n Melissa\u2019s husband, Joe Gorga<\/strong>, who accompanied her on the show, interjected jokingly, \u201cMen like meat! Men like some meat. We like to touch something, not bones.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m happy for everyone, though,\u201d the Real Housewives of New Jersey<\/em> star explained. \u201cThat they feel good, you know, and they look good. I\u2019m happy for them.\u201d<\/p>\n Both Margaret, 57, and Dolores, 53, were open about taking the weight loss drug during their appearance on Sherri\u2019s show earlier in May.<\/p>\n When Sherri pointed out that many celebrities remain tight-lipped about whether they take the drug, Dolores replied, \u201cI don\u2019t know why because there\u2019s no shame in it. If a doctor gives it to you and you\u2019re doing things right, you\u2019re becoming healthier by losing weight. There\u2019s a bunch of great things that come along with it.\u201d<\/p>\n Margaret added, \u201cAfter menopause, it\u2019s so hard to lose weight, and women, you know, you\u2019re shamed for it. You\u2019re shamed for it when you\u2019re heavy, and then when you get thin. It shuts off that food noise. My blood work is great.\u201d<\/p>\n Continuing, Margaret confessed that she \u201ccouldn\u2019t do anything\u201d to lose weight even though she was \u201ceating right and exercising.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know why there\u2019s any shame in it,\u201d the reality TV star concluded.<\/p>\n Margaret and Dolores are far from the only Housewives<\/em> to admit to taking Ozempic. Caroline Stanbury<\/strong> from The Real Housewives of Dubai<\/em> confessed that she took the weight loss medicine<\/a> after undergoing in vitro fertilization. RHOSLC<\/em> star Heather Gay<\/strong> admitted to taking it in 2023<\/a>, along with Real Housewives of OC<\/em> star Emily Simpson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
