Costco<\/em><\/strong> has become one of the most well-known warehouse stores in the world!<\/p>\n

Founded in Seattle, Wash., in 1983, the retailer has expanded all across the United States, and has branched out to countries like Australia, Mexico, Canada, China, France, Sweden, Japan and many more. There are over 800 warehouse locations worldwide.<\/p>\n

One must during a Costco<\/strong> trip for many is to the caf\u00e9 to get one of their quick service food items, from pizza to a hot dog, or even an ice cream sundae.<\/p>\n

Costco <\/strong>has also become synonymous with it\u2019s low price for a hot dog combo \u2013 a quarter pound beef hot dog or polish, and a 20 oz soda \u2013 which has been priced at $1.50 since it first opened. <\/p>\n

So, will that price ever change? There were rumors of the possibility after CFO Richard Galanti<\/strong> stepped down in March.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s new chief financial officer, Gary Millerchip<\/strong>, just shared on update on the hot dog combo amid increasing prices. <\/p>\n

\u201cI also want to confirm the $1.50 hot dog price is safe,\u201d he told<\/a> CNN\u2019s Nathaniel Meyersohn<\/strong> on Thursday (May 30).<\/p>\n

Back in 2018, Craig Jelinek<\/strong>, who was CEO at the time, recalled a convo with previous CEO Jim Sinegal<\/strong>, who is one of the founders of Costco<\/strong>, telling him that the combo price would never change.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018If you raise the effing hot dog, I will kill you. Figure it out,\u2019\u201d Craig <\/strong>recalled Jim<\/strong> telling him. <\/p>\n

Back in April, Costco<\/strong> started cracking down on who has access to eat their food court, with it being limited to Costco<\/strong> members only.<\/p>\n
