Jenna Dewan’s beloved dog Meeka has died<\/p>\n
The ‘Step Up’ actress – who is pregnant with her third child – revealed her 18-year-old pooch has died, and described it as “one of the hardest goodbyes” in an emotional tribute.<\/p>\n
In a lengthy post shared to Instagram on Wednesday (29.05.24), she wrote: “Yesterday I had to say one of the hardest goodbyes as my first baby, Meeka, crossed over the rainbow bridge.<\/p>\n
“I knew this day was coming and yet it still feels completely surreal to be writing this. Meeka – you and I have had more eras than TS.<\/p>\n
“18 years (!) of going through literally everything with me by my side.. you showed me I could become a mother, and then was by my side as I became one for the first time with Evie. And you never even liked kids.”<\/p>\n
\nThe 43-year-old star reflected on the ways Meeka helped her over the years, including keeping her company during quarantine.<\/p>\n
\nShe continued: “You have been with me to locations all around the world and also sat by my side during a global pandemic quarantine postpartum with Callum.<\/p>\n
\n“You were the queen diva, quietly ruling the house and I will never be able to express how much I will miss you.<\/p>\n
\n“You were the biggest gift and I am grateful I can still feel you with me.<\/p>\n
\n“Thank you for giving us the most peaceful crossing over we will never forget. Somehow even in your last moments, you knew what I needed.”<\/p>\n
\nJenna has 10-year-old daughter Everly with her ex-husband Channing Tatum, also 43, and four-year-old son Callum with her 48-year-old fiancee Steve Kazee, and she is sure her late pet will be “watching over” everyone, including her third baby.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I love you so much and even though my heart is broken to lose you in the physical, I know you will always be around and watching over all of us and especially ushering in this new soul.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
